Ever since I was a little girl, I would ruin every batch of brownies my mom ever made because I would run over to them when they were cooling and ever so secretly rip off the burnt end parts and run away, then run back and go straight for the center ooey-gooey parts!

Luckily my mom understood my predicament of crunchy vs gooey and we would end up sitting together for hours, talking, laughing and eating the crispy parts and then ooey-gooey parts of the brownies.

I think that’s why brownies have a special place in my heart and tummy. This brownie is my attempt to recreate some of my favorite childhood memories but I made it completely vegan!

Perfectly crispy on the outside but yet deliciously moist on the inside.

What type of brownie person are you?

Instructions:
First, you will want to preheat your oven to 325.
While you wait for your oven to heat up you will want to spray the bottom of your baking pan, ( I use an 8×8 pan) and line it with parchment paper, and spray the top of the parchment paper too.

Next in a bowl, you will want to mix sugars together, once combined add melted butter and mix together. Next, you will want to add the milk and vanilla extract and mix together. Add hu chunks if desired and toss in. Once all combined place into your baking pan and bake for 20 minutes.
