What You Will Need:
Serves one
- Egg
- 1 slice of bread
- Heart shaped cookie cutter
How To Assemble:
First heat your pan over medium heat, next you will want to butter one side of the bread until the bottom is gold brown and remove from the pan. Place toasted side down onto a cutting board.
Now you will want to butter the none toasted side while using the heart shaped cookie cutter, cut out a heart shaped “hole.” Once the heart shape is created place bread back on to the pan buttered side down and turn the heat to low.
Next in two small bowls separate the egg yolk & the egg white. Adding the egg white you will want to fill the “heart” & let set for about 7-10 seconds. Then carefully slip the egg yolk into the center.
Cover the pan and let the egg cook for about 2 minutes, checking after about a minute to make sure it isn’t burning. After the egg appears cooked, remove from the pan and dish up your heart!
What are you making this Valentine’s Day?
