Easy Homemade Energy Bars
These Easy Homemade Energy Bars are not only healthy but they taste amazing! They’re perfect for the road trips, daily pick me ups, school lunches or afternoon snacks. Not to mention I have been sick this past week and have not been in the mood to eat at all. I can’t taste anything but I have made these before and I just love them and I know that even though I have no desire to eat, chewing on these throughout the day has helped me keep my energy up and get some nutrients in my body!
Ingredients
8 Medjool dates (pitted, soaked & drained)
2 tbsp Cacao powder
3/4 cup Cashews, raw
1/8 tsp Salt
Toppings ( Optional)
Fresh Organic Fruit
Instructions
First, you will want to place the pitted dates in a glass bowl and cover them with warm water and let sit for 30-45 minutes, until the Medjool date plump up in size. Drain the water and place the dates in a food processor along with all the other ingredients. mix until combined!
Next, you will want to place the mixture on a baking sheet lined with wax paper, place it the sheet into the freezer and let it set for an hour or so! Cut into squares and top with optional toppings!
