It has begun! Wedding dress shopping is underway! The past weekend,  my mother and one of my bridesmaid’s joined me at David’s Bridal in Los Angeles! Sadly not all my bridesmaids were able to join us but non the less the day was so extremely special for me, to be honest the employees at David’s Bridal truly made a world of difference!   I literally felt like a princess!

From the moment I walked in they greeted me with just the same amount of joy and enthusiasm as I did walking into the store. The second thing I loved which was unlike any other wedding dress store I have walked through ( even before I was even engaged, haha, you know you have done it too) was that they had every single David’s Bridal Wedding Dress in one location in the store. Which is amazing so you don’t have to go hunting throughout the store! They had everything from lace to tulle to designer names like WHITE x Vera Wang.

I forgot to mention this earlier but if you make an appointment online you are able to highlight dresses you would like to try on so they have it ready and waiting if you still want to try it on when you get to the store! Like this one I found online and was able to try on in store!

Featuring wedding dress style VW351395 from the WHITE x Vera Wang Collection, exclusively at David’s Bridal, and veil style V806.

I highly recommend making an appointment at David’s Bridal near you. Not only are there dresses available, their staff is unbelievably kind and helpful, and  they have amazing wedding accessories, which I will share on my take over of the David’s Bridal Instagram account, THIS SATURDAY!!Whether you are the bride, bridesmaids or even the mother of the bride they have so many incredible options for you to choose from and great gifts too!

SO brides I hope that helped and I also wanted to share with you my quick guide to wedding dress shopping! What you need to bring, how to prepare, how to stay come etc!  First step though make an appointment at David’s Bridal! 🙂

My Quick Guide To Wedding Dress Shopping!

1.Go in with an idea of what you want!
It’s okay if you truly don’t know what type of dress you want but I would say it helps the process along if you go in having an idea of what you would like for your dress to look like! You can do this many ways, either by cutting them out of magazines or on your pinterest board, even on apps like The Knot!

2.Try and keep an open mind

Especially if you are able to have your mother with you. It never fails whenever I go shopping with my mom she picks something that I hate on the hanger but loved it on so why would shopping for a wedding dress be any different! I also can’ tell you how many times I have heard women say that go in with an idea but the dress they actually get is nothing like they expected! So, keep an open mind, because you never know what make you feel like a bride!

3.Know that you may not find “the one”and that’s okay!

Whether it is the first, second, third or even fourth time and you still haven’t found the dress, it’s okay! You never want to make a judgment off of a time restrantor because others say you should! Be in the moment, feel the moment and you will know which one will be “the one”.

4.Remember to bring and wear the right undergarments

You never know what style you are going to like and try on so remember to bring the right undergarments accordingly! Strapless, spanx, etc! Luckily, David’s Bridal has you covered with shapewear on-hand for your appointment.

5.Guest list

Who are you having there! Family members, friends, bridesmaids, a mix of all? Many boutiques have a limit of how many people you can bring with you, so be sure to look into that prior to your appointment but most importantly it is a good to surround yourself with people who know how you feel about trying clothes on, who support you but also know when you are just acting crazy.

6.Bring snacks

This might sound crazy but remember to bring snacks, have who everis there with you to bring water, nuts, etc! Snacking doesn’t have to be big, I understand not wanting to eat something big, you are trying on dresses! After all is said and done, you and your group can go celebrate!

7.Enjoy it!

Simple as that!
