As a kid, I loved drinking hot chocolate! There was something so soul filling and warming about this special cup of goodness!
As an adult I very rarely drink it because it has been so hard to find a place that sells or offers a vegan option. I decided to make matters into my own hands because I have been craving it with the cold weather we are having lately! I really took the time to find the perfect products and even though the recipe is super easy it is just perfect at least I think so!
Below I have put together the simplest recipe for vegan hot coco that has an extra surprise or two!
Vegan Hot Chocolate
1 TBSP of Cacao Powder
1 cup of vanilla Almond milk or another milk alternative ( vanilla flavored) of your choosing.
1 scoop of Sunwarrior Vegan Collagen Optional
Handful of Vegan Marshmallows ( Optional Topping)
In a sauce pan you will want to heat up your almond milk, as the milk is heating up you will want to add your coco, collagen and mix with a whisk until all is combined. Depending on how sweet you like your hot coco you can add a teaspoon of stevia. If not pour milk into cup and top with marshmallows and enjoy!
