Vegan Chocolate Covered Banana
Whenever I do anything with bananas it makes me laugh because growing up my sister would run out of the room when I would eat one, she still does because she can’t stand the smell! However both Neil and I love bananas even though he loves them all bruised and brown and I love them more ripe but not to ripe!
When I was training for a TV show, another life time ago, I had to curb my sweet tooth and I would make these banana bites! They are delicious best part about it is that you can top them with anything you want!
Chocolate Covered Bananas
- 2-4 organic bananas
- 1 full bag of vegan chocolate chips
- 1 cup of almond milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
Toppings
- Flourish Granola
- Nuts
- Chocolate covered espresso beans
- Seeds
- Shredded Coconut
- Organic Almond butter or peanut butter
- Dried fruit
- Hemp Seed
Instructions:
First you will want to do is peel the banana and cut them in half, insert stick at the bottom. You will want to freeze the bananas for about 2 hours before covering them with the chocolate. To freeze the banana place them on parchment paper and put in the freezer.
Whenever you ready to cover the bananas melt the chocolate, milk and vanilla either in a double boiler or in the microwave in 15-20 second increments, stirring each time until melted. Once melted take the bananas and cover them with the chocolate and toppings of your choice!
Enjoy!
