” We believe it is the little things that mean the most”
If you follow me on any of my social media platforms primarily my Instagram account, which is @moderndaygf you know that I am not shy about my struggle with anxiety. I have suffered from crippling anxiety for most of my life. It has been one hell of a ride, and throughout my journey, I have learned helpful tools on how to deal with my anxiety rather than my anxiety controlling me.
I had to accept that my anxiety was something I would most likely live with for the rest of my life and that is okay. There is no magic pill I can take or a one-step process that fixes everything but a daily choice to face my anxiety head-on and overcome the fear I created in my head.
Part of overcoming that fear is speaking about what might be causing me anxiety that day, a particular situation I’m in, a looming deadline, etc. I have also found that speaking openly about my anxiety not only helps me but helps others who might be dealing with the same issues, talking about my anxiety even helps my friends and family understand more about why I might react a certain way. I find communication probably the most significant tool when it comes to helping me cope with my anxiety.
I think it is essential to share your story no matter how big or small you might feel in helping and healing to the human spirit.
That’s why I was drawn to Natural Life a lifestyle company founded by Patti Hughes, a mother of three and one heck of a businesswoman, inspiration and a true definition of following your dreams and never giving up! She was so open about her trials and tribulations and how she wanted to inspire other people to do the same.
I just love brands like Natural Life , they have everything from t-shirts to wall art. You will feel inspired by anything you find on the site or in their stories.
Not only do I think their products are quality made, but I find their products to be excellent daily reminders and a sense of inspiration. Like this morning, I was drinking coffee from my fearless mug, and it made feel invigorated like I could take on the day!
Usually, I will leave myself little notes around, reminding myself I can do it or just breathe through my anxiety, but I am enjoying having Natural Life as a part of my daily routine instead.
All in all, I know that not every day will be perfect and sometimes the anxiety will get the best of me, but if I remind myself that I am a work in progress just like everyone else and takes it one day at a time, anything is possible.
Do you suffer from anxiety, what are some ways you cope? Sending love and hugs your way!
Love this, thank you for sharing.
