Not too long ago here on The Modern Day Girlfriend, I shared my Travel Guide For Aspen, Colorado. I love being able to share my travels with you to not only suggest places to go and activities to do but so much more.
Aspen, Colorado is very special to my boyfriend and I. Not only is Colorado his home state, but it holds many amazing memories for us as a couple. Colorado holds a deep emotional meaning for my boyfriend, especially now that he just made a big move to start our life together in California.
Modern Living: Framing Memories With Framers Pointe
I have to tell you, his actions of moving to California for our relationship made me feel this overwhelming sense of being selflessly loved by another person. An emotion I have never felt before in my past relationships. Trying to find a way to return that love, I knew I wanted to incorporate a sense of home for him in our new place together. I never wanted him to feel like he was walking into my house, but he was entering our home every time he opened the door.hat better way to create that homey emotion than through the power of a photo?!
To be honest, I’m a sucker for photos! I truly believe the saying,
” photos are worth a thousand words.”
To me, photos hold so much meaning, a moment in time and a place in my heart, and I knew exactly which photos I wanted to have framed in our home.
The photos are from our road trip from Colorado to California. Side note, if you haven’t taken a road trip with your significant other, you should try it out. You learn a lot about one another, and you make some incredible memories.
I was so happy we decided to take that adventure together. Not only did it bring us closer as a couple, but I was also able to capture pieces of home for him through the photos we took along the way.
I had the photos framed by Framers Pointe; an online do it yourself framing site that allows you to choose everything down to the color, size, and shape of each frame. Not to mention, they have an incredible gallery of art that you can have shipped right to your front door.Photos in which I had framed by Framer’s Pointe, an online do it yourself framing site that allows you to choose everything down to the color, size, and shape of each frame. As I mentioned,, I wanted to bring a sense of his home to ours so I wanted to add these special moments in the places we spend the most time – our home office, our bedroom, and a little surprise for him in the kitchen!
In our office, I placed three of our favorite photos from our trip along the wall for our guests to see, and I was able to incorporate our favorite saying to one another on a framed chalkboard that I found on the Framers Pointe site!

Did I mention that they also have a chalkboard and corkboard options, which I love, it makes a blogger’s heart pitter patter!
Next to our bed, I placed this great artwork from Framers Pointe of Aspen Trees, which we were surrounded by on our travels, so of course, I had to get it! It is an amazing tranquil touch to our bedroom!
Not so tranquil, but still an important part of our relationship, Margaritas! I think we both are pretty certain tequila runs through our veins. Everywhere we go we stop and order margaritas. I think we are on the hunt for the perfect margarita. Don’t worry, once we find it, I will share! Until then, I couldn’t help myself, and I had to get this fantastic “how to” piece of artwork from Framers Pointe for our kitchen where most of our margarita making happens! It was the perfect piece to round out this collection of memories from our trip.
Whether you’re sentimental like me or just looking for an easy, affordable way to make your home come alive, I suggest checking out Framers Pointe at www.framerspointe.com to see how you too can capture memories!
