Bedroom Refresh

It’s funny you would think with our move we would have gotten rid of a lot of things we didn’t truly need but about 7 months into our move, I feel like I am purging more things now than when we first arrived at our new home. I feel like I am at that place in my life where I want to get rid of the old and start fresh!

Do you know what I mean?

I can’t tell you the countless hours I have spent in general looking for new things for our home online and that’s where The Company Store comes in. Once I found their store online it was game over in the bedroom department, I knew I could stop searching! The Company Store has incredible items like their bedding which is created from all natural materials so when they reached out to me about trying out their premium linen bedding, couldn’t pass up the chance!

Fast forward to the sheets arriving, running them through the wash, etc. ( I am a clean freak so no matter what it is I always wash anything before it touches my body!) I then started to make the bed with our new sheets, I chuckled to myself as I pulled the fitted sheet over the corners of the mattress. I instantly thought of my mother and here is why!

When my sister and I were younger we always thought that our mother was crazy when it came to making our beds. Not only because no one was allowed to sit on the bed with dirty clothes, lay their purses, backpacks or things of that nature on our beds but we were not allowed in the bed without showering first, getting into clean clothes and making sure the bottom of our feet were completely clean before we jumped in.

She was and is still is a stickler about being clean and beds from the materials they are made from, the thread count, etc.

Now as an adult I TOTALLY get it and I have proudly adopted that crazy! Your bed should be your safe place, a place where you spend a lot of your time, which is why you should never skimp out on the quality of what goes into making your bedroom your place of rest and relaxation from the sheets, comforters, duvet covers, pillows, etc!

With all that said, I surprised Neil with our new sheets the other week and the first night we slipped into our bed he turned over and said to me,

” Wow, these sheets feel incredible.”

I smiled because I knew exactly what he meant. The sheets are cool, crisp, and deliciously soft. Even thinking about them right now I just want to crawl back into bed and lay there so I say to you, if you are looking to redo your bedroom or it is just time for new sheets, I highly recommend checking out The Company Store!
