Cinnamon Bread
- 4 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar alternative, for this recipe I used, swerve
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. orange zest (optional)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 2/3 cup vegetable oil
INSTRUCTIONS
- First you will want to get all your ingredients into place.
-
Next, preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Grease your loaf pan.
- Combine the 1 tbsp of cinnamon and sugar and set aside!
-
Next you will want to combine the dry ingredients, flour, sugar, baking powder, soda, and salt, in a medium size mixing bowl. Set aside.
-
Next in a large mixing bowl you will want to beat eggs, milk, vanilla and orange zest.
-
Next, you will want to slowly add the dry mixture to the wet mixture. It will have more of a bread texture than cake like texture.
-
Next you will want to pour the mixture to there is about an inch left from mixture to top of loaf pan.
-
Right before you put it in the oven, sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar mixture on top, swirl in with a spatula or knife.
-
Place in the oven and bake for about 40-50 minutes or until center is cooked, you can test this by inserting a toothpick into the center of the loaf if it comes out clean or just a little wet that is okay.
