Tools To Help You Navigate Through A Break Up

I have been through the good, the bad, the blissful and the tearful when it comes to relationships. I am certainly a girl who has kissed some real toads on her  journey to find my prince charming (they don’t exist). I have found when my heart is at it’s weakest, it is there where I truly find myself. Each heartbreak has taught me something about myself I never knew before, which in turn just makes me more self fulfilled for when the right one comes along. I wanted to share my 5 tools that I use when navigating through a broken heart.

Belief: You have to believe in yourself and that everything happens for a reason. You have to believe that you will come out the other side a stronger person.

Time: Allow yourself the proper time to heal and grow from the experience. If that means cutting off communication, than so be it. Time is a magical tool, I used to hate it when people said to me “give it time”. However, what they did know is that they actually knew what they were talking about! Time has a way of healing the wound. The further away you are from something, the smaller it becomes.

Willingness: You must be willing to let it go and you must be willing to do what you believe you couldn’t. You have to acknowledge the pain and be willing to move past it.

Let it Go: Elsa was not that far off! Surrender to the pain, knowing that something better is coming. It’s amazing where your life can take you when you let everything go.

Acceptances: Accept your new normal, remember it is not always going to feel like this.

Love: You must truly love yourself first, before you can fully love someone else. ” Your partner should complement you, not complete you”
