Spinach, Bacon and Goat Cheese Filled Crescent Rolls
Okay, let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a good old fashion crescent roll! Buttery, flakey, melt in your mouth bite of perfection we have all grown to love. Well we took this classic and elevated it to a whole new dinner must have. How you might ask, well we added bacon ( you can never go wrong with bacon) and mixed it with creamy goat cheese and sautéed garlic.
Ingredients:
- 1 Roll of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
- 2 slices of Bacon (finely chopped)
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 2 cloves of Garlic (finely chopped)
- 3 cups washed and dried Spinach.
- 1 small package of Goat Cheese
- Sea Salt (optional)
Instructions
- Pre-heat your oven to 350 degree, grease a small muffin tin with cookinfg spray.
- Cook and chop the bacon.
- In a pan sautee the garlic in olive oil over low heat until the garlic is a light golden brown. Add, the spinach and turn the heat up to medium. Once the spinach has cooked down to half its size take off the heat and add the cooked bacon.
- Take the spinach mixture and place in a bowl, leaving as much liquid as you can in the pan.
- Roll out crescent rolls, place about 1/2 tablespoon of the spinach mixture in the middle and top it with 1/4 tsp of goat cheese. Fold the sides in and roll from the bottom the top, making sure all sides are closed. Bring the two end sides together to form a “ball”, place in muffin tin. Sprinkle Sea Salt if desired and bake for 15- 20 minutes, until golden brown.
