One of the best things about moving to San Diego, minus the people, the incredible weather and the beaches are the incredible amount of taco shops there are throughout San Diego County. There are too many to even get close to trying them all but we can try right! Below I have put a list
I would love to hear if you have some we should try out as well, please let me know by commenting below!
The Taco Stand
This spot has to be one of our favorite taco spots in all of San Diego and we are not the only one, there typically is a line at every location but don’t worry the line goes fast! We try to bring everyone that comes to visit us there so they can enjoy this little bite of heaven! NO joke everything from their salsa bar to anything you order is just

Tacos Libertad
We recently found Tacos Libertad and OMGOSSSH is it a little hidden gem! You walk into what looks like a normal taco shop which you can go in and order and sit down if you want but if you want a little more pazzas to your tacos walk towards the back of the restaurant and open what looks like the freezer door! Once you do you will be transported into a speakeasy with delicious drinks and an incredible ambiance where you can enjoy your tacos and drinks!
Miguels
In the heart of Old Town San Diego Miguel’s is a staple! You want traditional Mexican food cooked right, Miguels is your place not to mention their drinks are strong!
Tocaya Organica
Granted if you live in Los Angeles you have a Tocaya but I wanted to toss this one in there for the vegans of the group! Tocaya has incredible
Have you tried PUEBLO on Hornblend Street in Pacific Beach for Mexican fare? It is very delicious, upscale, in a beautiful, modern space. Congrats on your engagement to the handsome Neil. Like your fiancee at Procopio, my husband is also an attorney in downtown San Diego. His name is Bill Hughes, and he is now “of counsel” to the firm he founded, Hughes and Nunn.
I am a long time fan of your lovely mother. She gave me the jump start and confidence to cook a Thanksgiving dinner way back when she and Steve Edwards hosted AMLA. I have since followed her recipes and career. My hope is that her health journey continues in a positive direction.
I have repeatedly attempted to subscribe to your blog, but cannot seem to be accepted when I try to submit my email which is: [email protected]. Please put me on your list for future postings, as I appreciate your candor and sharing.
DEBORAH YOU ARE SO KIND AND I WILL LOOK INTO THAT ISSUE, I AM SO SORRY ABOUT THAT! I WILL GET ON THAT AND ADD YOU TO THE LIST! I HAVE NOT TRIED PUEBLO BUT DEF WILL! SOUNDS DELICIOUS AND THAT’S INCREDIBLE CONGRATS TO YOUR HUSBAND!!! PLEASE KEEP INTOUCH!
