10 Break Up Songs 2015- 2016
There are 100 and 1 ways to handle a break up. Whether you get out and stay active or sit on the couch with a pint of ice cream and watch your favorite Rom- Com over and over again, we all handle heartbreak differently. The way I like to deal with a broken heart is through music. I am not a musician, but listening to music is medicine for my soul. If you are like me and find yourself lost in a song when things get rough, you’re not alone.
The healing power of music is why I recently started Music Mondays here at The Modern Day Girlfriend. Each week, I will highlight different songs and emotions that will help feed the soul. Love and music are known for being universal languages, so today I share with you one of my love languages through song.
This week’s Music Monday is about break ups. Not to kick it off with a downer, but inevitably either you or someone you know has gone through heartbreak in the past year. Below is my list of break up songs from 2015 – 2016 that have buzzed through my speakers and into my soul. However, if I can leave you with one thing, it’s the advice that everything is going to be all right. This to shall pass, so let yourself feel and let it out. Crank up the volume and sing at the top of your lungs.
