how to make your own pickled onions the modern day girlfriend

This recipe is super easy and deliciously tasty! Perfect for inside sandwiches, wraps,  in salads, on crackers with dips, the list can go on and on! Just like the recipe, I am going to make this introduction to my recipe simple.  I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do!

Pickled Onions

1 Organic red onion

1 tbsp granulated sugar or 1 packet stevia

1 1/2 tsp Kosher Salt

1/2 cup Organic Apple cider vinegar

1 cup warm water,

1/2 TBSP whole black peppers.

Instructions

First, using a mandoline, slice the red onions as thin as you can. After you are done slicing the onion place the slices in a jar, my jar of juice is a ball jar.

Next in a measuring cup, you will want to combine the warm water, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt. Stirring the mixture so the sugar and salt dissolve. After dissolved you will want to pour it over the onions so they are completely immersed in the liquid. You will let them sit and “set” for an hour. Once they set you can cover and store in the fridge up to 2-3 weeks.
