Baked Sweet Potato Fries

These sweet potato fries with spicy aioli makes a great side dish to burgers, steaks, chicken & even just as wonderful as a meal themselves! Packed with vitamin A and C these naturally sweet potatoes not only bring color to your dish but flavor to each bite.

There is something about the crispy texture and sweet taste that just keeps making you go back for more. Simple and easy to make, we hope you try this recipe at your next BBQ or dinner!

Ingredients

  • 3 large sweet potatoes
  • 2 Tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1 Teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 Teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 Teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Pinch of ground sea salt

 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit
  2. Wash sweet potatoes and pat dry
  3. Cut off ends of sweet potatoes and cut off bottom side of potato so it can rest on cutting board without movement (Photos below)
  4. Slice the sweet potato length wise
  5. Cut each of the long slices in half to make long skinny pieces.
  6. Place all sweet potato fries into large plastic Ziplock bag
  7. Measure and put in the coconut oil and seasonings into Ziplock bag.
  8. Shake bag until all pieces are fully coated with seasonings and oil.
  9. Place on non-stick baking sheet and sprinkle on sea salt.
  10. Bake in oven on middle rack for 10 minutes and flip fries. Once flipped, bake for another 10 minutes.
  11. Enjoy!
