10 Ways To Know If A Guy Is Into You Or Not
Have you been talking to a guy and can’t tell if he REALLY likes you or not? You keep playing these questions back in forth in your head. Additionally, you engage in a very annoying game of “what do you think” with your girlfriends. You keep wondering if it is a mutual attraction, or if you are just over thinking the whole thing and misreading his behavior. I asked a group of my guy friends if they would be willing to share with me how they act when they really like a girl. The following represents the overall consensus. ENJOY!
1. He Makes Time To Talk To You:
“You are never too busy for the things you want.”
Whether it is a phone call, a text, a link to a funny meme, or if the guy is initiating conversation with you, it’s safe to say that he is thinking about you.
2. He Jokes Around With You:
Remember that story your parents would tell you when you were younger about that little boy Timmy who pushed the girl on the playground because he liked her? Well, grown men aren’t all that different. If he is being playful with you by mocking you in a light hearted way, for example, he more than likely is letting that little schoolboy crush peak through by exhibiting playful behavior.
By light hearted teasing, I mean he doesn’t do it in front of people in a way that could embarrass you. He picks up on your very best qualities and traits and points them out to you in a way that boosts your confidence and makes you smile to yourself. He isn’t flashy or smooth; he just clearly really likes you and wants you to know it too.
3. He Talks About To His Friends & Family:
Some guys won’t let you in on the little secret that they talk about you to the people they are closest to. Whether he is the one to tell you or his friends let it slip, you should take it is a huge compliment if he is bragging about you to other people. His voluntary discussion of you means he wants to share how amazing he thinks you are with the people that matter the most to him.
4. He Compliments You:
He points outs your best qualities either in front of people or when you are alone. He wants you to see yourself as he sees you. It doesn’t have to be some grand gesture or hand written letter with all your wonderful qualities. However, if he drops a few lines about how beautiful you look or how he admires your passion, he wants you to know he respects those traits about you and so should you.
5. He Asks About You:
I am not saying he sits you down and you play 20 questions for the next four years, but if he is taking the time to get to know you, if he wants to learn about your past, and if he wants to listen to you, then he probably likes you. Light up when you talk about things you love and sometimes guys will ask you questions in hopes you will inquire more about them. It’s easier for guys to be asked questions about their lives than to bring up something personal about themselves.
6. His Body Language Is On Point:
He moves closer to you at the table or on the couch. Even when you are walking next to each other, you get this tingly sensation in the pit of your stomach like he wants to hold your hand. When you say goodbye, the hug lingers on for longer than it should! He always finds a way to touch you.
7. He Gets Nervous:
He will stumble over his words or his train of thought gets lost. Cut the guy some slack he is nervous because he likes you.
8. He Shows Off:
This is what I like to call “peacocking.” Like a peacock, he wants to show his colorful feathers aka he wants to look good in front of you. He will try and bring out his best qualities right away.
9. He Puts Himself Together:
Just like us, guys want to look good for the girls they date. If he is putting in the extra effort to put himself together and not rolling in with basketball shorts and a snapback, I think it is safe to say he is trying to look good for you!
10. The Eyes Have It:
If you catch him looking at you and maybe even staring from across the room, or if he keeps eye contact across the table for just a little bit too long, HE LIKES YOU!
