One of the best things about moving to San Diego, minus the people, the incredible weather and the beaches are the incredible amount of taco shops there are throughout San Diego County. There are too many to even get close to trying them all but we can try right! Below I have put a list togehter of my top five “taco shops”, from fine dining to stands you won’t be dissapointed!

I would love to hear if you have some we should try out as well, please let me know by commenting below!

The Taco Stand

This spot has to be one of our favorite taco spots in all of San Diego and we are not the only one, there typically is a line at every location but don’t worry the line goes fast! We try to bring everyone that comes to visit us there so they can enjoy this little bite of heaven! NO joke everything from their salsa bar to anything you order is just delicous!

Death By Tequila

A higher end Mexican restaurant serving more than just your normal tacos, everything from their salsa to their drinks are INCREDIBLE! Neil and I went there with my best friends after we got engaged and saw my family to celebrate with drinks but I mean it was so special and delicious!

Tacos Libertad

We recently found Tacos Libertad and OMGOSSSH is it a little hidden gem! You walk into what looks like a normal taco shop which you can go in and order and sit down if you want but if you want a little more pazzas to your tacos walk towards the back of the restaurant and open what looks like the freezer door! Once you do you will be transported into a speakeasy with delicious drinks and an incredible ambiance where you can enjoy your tacos and drinks!

Miguels

In the heart of Old Town San Diego Miguel’s is a staple! You want traditional Mexican food cooked right, Miguels is your place not to mention their drinks are strong!

Granted if you live in Los Angeles you have a Tocaya but I wanted to toss this one in there for the vegans of the group! Tocaya has incredible optons that range from vegan to meat options! However, I do have to say everytime I go there I always go vegan I haven’t even tried something with meat but Neil has and LOVES it! I mention this because if a resturant can make vegan options so dam good I can only imagine everything else they make!
